Four months from tomorrow

This porch area is shaded by grape arbors. Lots of great places to take photos.

Here’s where we will be four months from tomorrow for Mallory and Seth’s wedding on July 4.

I took these photos on July 4 last year to see what the flower gardens might look like a year from their day.

The park was VERY busy with lots and lots of people celebrating the holiday, so I’m sure we’ll have some gawkers.

No matter, we will have a great time and enjoy the day with family and friends.

The flower gardens were beautiful and surround three sides of the “mini” mansion.  A huge lawn sweeps down to Long Island Sound.

I’m looking forward to going back when the weather gets nicer to take more photos.

As I write this, I am beginning to realize that I had better get my planner out and start getting serious about what I still have to do for this wedding!

Oh no!

  1. We looked at the pictures online. Beautiful place! Will the wedding be in the porch area?
Been thinking about what I’m going to wear. Of course, wanted to be about 40 lbs lighter but not making too much head way on that.

  2. The back side of the mansion opens onto a large patio, so the dinner will be inside and the dance is under the tented patio area. They want to get married in one of the garden areas, but that might mean lots of unwanted guests because the gardens are open to the public. Anyway, we’ll do whatever works out. Last year it was so HOT there during the day. So, depending on the weather, I’m wearing a cool and lightweight dress. BUT it could get a little cool on the water during the evening, so you might want to tuck a sweater in your bag for later.
