How’s this for colorful?
These bouquets were created about four hours before the wedding in the local Stop and Shop by a very kind and patient florist. Mallory’s original flowers were supposed to be orange calla lilies. But the lilies were very dark and drab, and didn’t pop against the dark purple dresses. And Mallory’s bouquet was supposed to include purple calla lilies — and they were almost black. So Mallory’s flower order looked more fitting for a funeral.
Anyway, the very kind and patient florist pulled apart some floral arrangements in her cooler (on the 4th of July, mind you), and whipped up FIVE new bridesmaid bouquets, a bridal bouquet AND several corsages. And all was right in the world again.
